Project ASTRIDE

Each one hour lesson features activities on and off the participant’s assigned horse. The off-horse activities consist of grooming, tacking and tactile experiences. The on-horse portion of the lesson is initiated by mounting from a specially designed mounting ramp and is continued in an indoor and/or outdoor arena setting. During lessons the participants learn new skills, practice skills and participate in group exercises and games. Each session is typically eight weeks long. Each year, three sessions are held. Each session lasts six weeks and classes are offered two evenings per week. (Click here for the 2015 session dates!)

All riding and horse related experiences are supervised by experienced Advanced and Registered PATH Int’l Certified Instructors. This helps to ensure a safe and quality experience.
