Where Cowboy Mounted Shooting and Therapeutic Horseback riding meet!

Join us for an exciting evening as Project ASTRIDE riders are paired up with some of the worlds top mounted shooters and get a chance to ride Nevada Joe, a mustang and NARHA horse ambassador coming all the way from Darby, Montana thanks to Diane Purcelli with the Shooting Star Ranch. Instead of reaching for the stars, we will be reaching for the balloons. Cowboy mounted shooting is one of the fastest growing equine sports where the riders dress from the 1880’s to the screen play era. These riders use 45LC blank ammunition in single action revolvers to shoot 10 balloons, in one of the 50+ patterns, while racing against the clock. For the WAHL Dare to Dream ride the method of breaking balloons will be modified for those riders astride Nevada Joe, but the concept will be the same. (Riders, family, friends & visitors are all encouraged to dress in your cowboy / cowgirl gear)
